Data-Tech solidifies relationship with industry leader in remote monitoring software
Data-Tech partner Kaseya is an industry leader in the production of remote management software for the information technology industry. Founded in Silicon Valley in the year 2000, Kaseya’s solutions are used by more than 10,000 customers worldwide, in fields including technology, healthcare, government, education, retail, manufacturing, finance and media, to name a few. The company currently has a presence in over 20 nations throughout the world.
You may remember a few months ago when Data-Tech conducted a three month evaluation comparing Kaseya with a major competitor that a number of competing MSPs had adopted. The evaluation proved, among other things, that although Kaseya’s product is considerably more expensive, it allows us to provide a far better level of service to our customers.
Since the decision was made to adopt Kaseya’s product for remote monitoring, Data-Tech has taken steps to enhance the relationship. The first was certifying two of our top level engineers—Mike Ponticello and Jonathon Blacklidge—as Certified Kaseya Administrators. Because Data-Tech solidified its investment in Kaseya by having two employees certified, Kaseya now provides Data-Tech with priority technical support.
In late February, Data-Tech also conducted a free Lunch and Learn/webinar, where Jonathon presented customers and prospects with an informative “peek behind the curtain” of the Kaseya product. The Kaseya Webinar can still be viewed online on our website.
Offered as an industry-leading cloud solution or on-premise software, Kaseya IT management solutions empower MSPs and mid-sized enterprises to:
- Command Centrally: See and manage everything from a single integrated dashboard, to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the entire IT environment – on-premise, cloud, and mobile.
- Manage Remotely: Discover, manage, and control widely distributed environments, extending management reach, and maximizing efficiency and service-level performance.
- Automate Everything: Deploy policy-based automation with proactive remediation, to increase productivity and do more with existing staff.
Data-Tech’s partnership with Kaseya allows us to provide top-notch remote monitoring and management for our valued clients–we look forward to a long and beneficial relationship with this industry leader.

With a strict focus in the regulatory compliance arena, A-lign has assembled a team of audit professionals who have extensive experience in providing security, assurance, and compliance services.
Data-Tech had A-lign perform the highly detailed SOC 2 Type 2 Audit, which confirmed for our customers that Data-Tech’s company facilities, cloud-based hosted solutions, information security practices, operations, policies, and procedures met or surpassed the rigorous SOC 2 standards for security, availability, and confidentiality.
Service Organization Control (SOC) reports—created by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants—are internal control reports on the offerings furnished by a service organization, which provide important information for users to appraise the risks involved with an outsourced service. These reports are essential for service providers to build trust with clients, as they are performed by an independent third party.
SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is an outstanding measuring stick for business owners and decision makers because it provides them with the peace of mind that the service provider that they choose can competently deliver what it promises. Compliance is particularly effective because verification is conducted by a neutral third party. Decision-makers can rest easy, knowing that their provider has undergone highly thorough audits to make sure that customer data is protected and in good hands.
